Directory of Open Access Books launched

The Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB) has just been launched.

It has been made available by the OAPEN Foundation, an international Open Access monograph publishing initiative, based at the National Library in The Hague.

DOAB's primary aim is to act as a discovery tool for Open Access (freely available) academic e-books.

You can search it to find details of peer-reviewed e-books published under an Open Access (such as a Creative Commons) licence, and link into the full-text of each title.

DOAB currently includes over 23 publishers and 755 academic Open Access books, and new publishers and books will be added regularly.

Comments are welcomed via DOAB's contact form. Feedback will be used to develop the service further, in line with expressed needs.
