We have trial access to the new Global Plants database until 31 December.

Developed by the Global Plants initiative and JSTOR, Global Plants is a community-contributed database for researchers and conservationists studying the world's plant biodiversity.

It contains more than holds more than 1.8 million high resolution plant type specimens - the authoritative records for plant species that are catalogued in herbaria around the world, along with their scientific names and classifications.

You can view, comment on, and tag content from the collections of more than 300 herbaria in 70 countries, including the New York Botanical Garden, Komarov Botanical Institute, and the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew.

Global Plants also includes extensive flora and other reference material, collectors' correspondence and diaries, and many thousands of paintings, photographs, drawings, and other images.
