Asian Film Online - 30 new films added

Asian Film Online has recently been updated with 30 new titles, bringing the number of films - and also the number of hours of film - to over 500. 

This newest release focuses exclusively on Korean filmmakers with a mix of dramas, documentaries, shorts and animated features. Key titles include:

Broken Night (2010): Directed by rising filmmaker Hyo-joo Yang, this short, which deals with the themes of dishonesty and karma, won the Silver Bear for Best Short Film at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2011.

Radio Dream and The Cursed, both shorts in the Korean National University of Arts Collection.

Four animated shorts: Birth (2009), directed by Ki-Wan Park; Norinoi (2008), directed by Eun-Jin Choi; Run Run Run Away (2010), directed by Sun Jung Lee; and Under the Black Bridge (2010), directed by Youn-Sik Woo.

Silence Broken: Korean Comfort Women (1999): A documentary from the Center for Asian-American Media about the Korean comfort women during WWII. 

Asian Film Online is an online streaming video collection of narrative feature films, documentaries, and shorts. With Asian voices addressing Asian issues, and through works selected by Asian film experts, the collection offers highly relevant perspectives and insights. 

More than 75% of the films are streamed exclusively in Asian Film Online , and more than 60% are award winners. Twenty-four Asian countries are represented, with a strong concentration on China, India, Iran, South Korea, and Southeast Asia.
