New e-Resource - Oxford Handbooks Online: Literature

We're delighted to announce that we now have perpetual access to the Oxford Handbooks Online: Literature reference series, which is regarded as 'the world's most trusted source for scholarly research reviews'.

Oxford Handbooks Online: Literature contains 38 volumes and over 1,400 detailed, authoritative review essays by leading scholars that survey the current state of scholarship in their field, reveal original arguments and concepts, and set the agenda for new research.

Essays represent a variety of critical approaches and seek to combine original scholarship with authoritative introductions to their topic.

The present scope of these Literature collections (Foundation; 2012-2014 collections) covers from c 1300 to the present day, and offers strong coverage of Shakespeare, early modern (1500-1700), modern, and American literature.

The main focus is on writing produced in the British Isles and North America, on poetry, prose, verse, and drama in English, and also includes work on Film Studies.
